About Shingwedzi

Surrounded by mopane woodland and situated on the Shingwedzi River. Famous for enormous herds of elephants and large tuskers.

Shingwedzi is a rustic, older camp that feels like a step back in time. Located in the northern reaches of the park on the Shingwedzi River, it isn’t known for high lion densities, but it absolutely excels in staggering elephant and buffalo herds. It is also famous for being the historic territory of the magnificent large tuskers of Kruger.
